Enplas Ultem 1000 PEI (Polyetherimide)is an amorphous thermoplastic developed by Sabic. Enplas uses Virgin extrusion grade Sabic Ultem to manufacture Ultem Rods, Sheets and Tubes from various filled and unfilled grades, common ones being Ultem 1000 Natural, Ultem 1000 Black, Ultem 2100 and Ultem 2300. Ultem is is stable in many chemical environments, operates at higher temperatures than most other polymers and offers ULV0 flammability rating as well. It has found extensive use in Aerospace, Medical, Semiconductor and Electronics industry.
